XO‘s Arden Griffins team gave the twelve selected players their first taste of victory, made all the more thrilling by the fact that they were down after each of the first three quarters.
An unanswered six point salvo from Eloise, who finished on 26, took Griffins from 4 points down to 2 up with 4 minutes to play. Then Dheyaan, who finished on 27, took over, going blow for blow against Nuneaton’s number 12. Into the last minute, with Griffins 2 points up and the ball in his hand outside the D, he sunk a three pointer to put the match beyond the Predators’ reach and sealed a landmark victory.
