Battling through treacherous weather to fulfil their involvement at their first Glozball tournament, expecting to play against Cardiff, Bristol and the local team, Gloucester, Spitfires arrived to the somewhat farcical reality that City of Birmingham were the only other team there.
To add to the fact that they had only faced each other three weeks prior, only seven players made it for the Spitfires. So, Coach Amina came to the rescue, filling in and demonstrating her considerable skills to her charges.
Evie, Ayden, Scarlett and Eloise also got on the scoresheet, and a 54-19 reverse was followed by a match made of both teams mixed together, from which the girls will have learnt much.
