Successful XO coaching course sees four local coaches qualify
XO proudly hosted a BE Level 1 Coaching Certification course, concluding on Saturday 1 February.
A total of 14 coaches attended and passed the course, with two XO players attending as demonstrators. Christina Widdop, Darshan Gill, Faaris Mughal and Sunny Gill formed the Solihull contingent, City of Birmingham sent five players, with individual applicants making up the remainder.
XO had the privilege of securing the leading tutor in the region, Peter Mintoft, to teach the course. Peter commented that the “Level 1 Coach award course which produced 14 new, young and enthusiastic coaches. The group worked hard on improving their communication and organisational skills as they widened their knowledge of the game. The group had a high level of playing experience and are now well set for helping other teams and players to improve their performances.”
The West Midlands Basketball Forum also made a contribution towards the course literature.
